I live in Ogden, and was looking for some decent off-roading spots, but have came up with nothing good.... I know moab, and places like that have excellent off-roading areas, but I'm not wanting to drive there. So does anyone know of anywhere in Northern UT that is good off-roading.

One day I'll get down there. But yeah Moab is awesome. Never been there, but I may go this year, but unfortunately I'd be going with my brother. He's got a bronco 5.8L V8, but refuses to take it anywhere off pavement :(. I'll probably go to actually go off road, when I buy a Ranger FX4. Then I'll have a good off-road car. My explorer is good off-road, but its bone stock so its not the off-road machine, like what my future ranger will turn out to be.

why wont he take his bronco off-road? even in nearly stock form, broncos do awesome off road. here's my '82 bronco.

-Nice bronco, Looks like a good off-roader. But my brother, he doesn't care for his bronco, he neglects it. Its a nice car, only 45K miles. Honestly it used to be the nicest one in the area when my grandfather had it, but now that my brother has it, it looks like crap. It comes down to he thinks he doesnt know how to off-road.
-I've been looking at a 03 Wrangler Tomb Raider Edition 26000 miles, and I bet that would own up off-road.
-I found a good place to off road in northern Utah. Its called Public Grove a few miles north of Huntsville, UT, its out in the middle of nowhere, but that's off-roading for you. Its got a lot of open trails to explore, and its got some mudding areas.
