Guys:

I am relatively new to this board but this might help some of you out.

When I bought my Explorer, the dealer wanted $1,750 to extend the warranty to 6 years/60,000 miles. This was for the premium warranty.

I found a Ford dealer out of St. Louis that will sell the same warranty for $1,020. I called them and spent a little while talking to the guy on the phone and he seemed real nice. He said they just don't mark it up nearly what the other dealers do.

I'm not even sure that you can't beat this price, just that it's a lot cheaper than what other dealers wanted. I have no affiliation to this dealer and you can get a quote online without giving to much information.

The website is: www.fordesp.com and there is also a phone number on the site as well.

I hope this helps.

Consider aftermarket extended warrantirs' with them you do not have to have a Ford dealer do the repair. Further, you can get them to 100k miles.

You can get this warranty up to 100,000 miles. However, after 60, it gets expensive.

Also, I like the idea of a Ford warranty where I can go back to the dealer, or any Ford dealer for that matter.
