31s should fit ok. those tires look nice big lugs and for the price i would give them a try. you might want to check with walmart come wond put larger tires other than stock and make sure you they have warrenty. walmart sells a lot of junk i.e. lower grade stuff they may look good but walmart pays companies to make the products as cheap as possible thus downgraded materials

Personally I'd stay away from them. I have had two different sets of Goodyears (not by choice) and they sucked. I will never buy Goodyears as they are way way over priced and as I stated above worthless.

Another thing. Wal-Mart will nit put anything but a stock size tire on an Explorer and their tire service sucks. A couple of years ago I bought two tires for a '92 Cougar and they didn't take the old weights off before they balanced them. I didn't discover it until the next day on the highway.

Both my wife's Liberty and my Ranger had Wranglers, from the factory, and I couldn't wait for them to be replaced. We now have Firestone Destination ATs on my Ranger and Destination LEs on hers Jeep, far better for rain, snow and ice. In a dry warm climate the Wranglers might be fine.

I like the Continental Conti-Trac SUV, but I think it's been replaced by the Cross-Contact, wich also seems like a decent tire.

I would not let Wal-Mart anywhere near my vehicle. Try to find a local discount tire place, or buy them online from www.tirerack.com and have your favorite local mechanic mount/balance them.

these are going to be LOUD. I put firestone destination A/T on mine for the second time last month the first set lasted 42k which I thought was pretty good for my driving style, got them from a firestone fleet service for $690 lifetime road hazard, balance and rotation. In no way would I let the 19 year old untrained service tech from wal-mart near my ride.

I assume your referring to the tires the original poster was looking at, as the Continental's are not loud at all. They are a good, slightly aggressive all-season. They do pretty well in everything you'll encounter in normal driving, including reasonable amounts of snow.

Here's the Cross-Contact:
