Back to the topic of covering your off road lights. A buddy of mine worked the overnight shift and during his break decided to take a trip to the local 7-11. Being 4 am he was a serious candidate for a DUI. So he gets pulled over and gets the questions where you going and the sorts like that. When the cop realizes that he is not drunk he needs to come up with a reason for the stop. Luckily for the cop sees that his daylighters did not have covers on them and the ticket was issued. He tried explaining to the cop that they were just for looks but the cop didn't buy it. With some pictures in hand the Judge threw it out of court and scolded the cop. Yes the lights were mounted on his light bar, yes they were uncovered and no they were never wired in so he couldn't even turn them on if he wanted to.
