........sorry for the bad language chaps.

i used to have one, and hated it.
the constant 4 wheel drive was horrible, among other stuff.
anyhows, my mate has one, a 98 orvis 85 000 on the clock. which i drove yesterday for the first time and it was truely dredful. after negotiating a bend or corner of any description and then driving straight ahead the back end flops around like a pr1ck in a shirt sleeve. whats all that about?
my grand cherokee wasnt that bad, it wasnt brilliant, but not like his.
and then i remembered this, when i have test driven grand cherokee's in the past every single one was completely different. some moved around, some didnt. some steered well, some didnt. the list is endless.
anyone shed any light on this?

mick.

not really sure mate sounds like bushes or something, all i can add is my mum has a grand on a w plate and i thought it was wonderful ---until!!!

i went around a corner lol dam it was really nice to drive but it just felt like it was going to spin round or fall over,it had a sort of twitch that just unsettled the whole car.

my ex is no dream to drive but even so it just feels more solid in bends, perhaps the jeeps need spacers fitted to extend there track or something,i tried to persuade my mum to fit some but hey shes 60 odd lol and isnt into pimpimg her jeep lol.

the big one that gets me, is why are they all so different?
i never driven 2 that are even close to each other.

couldnt really comment as i have only driven 1 lol,but i have to say i like them ,the one i have access to has two monster gas tanks underslung so it has a low centre of gravity aswell, but parked next to my ex i noticed the ex was taller and a little longer and my interior space dwarfed the jeep, wondering if they could have differant suspension by year or model ect,as it seems a little strange they should be so differant to each other.

I test drove an Orvis once, thought it was rubbish, for the same reasons as you!
Handled like a bath tub in a lake, dont worry bout them.

hi i have a 1997 grand cherokee with 200 k on it . it doesnt handle as well as my 1999 explorer with 69k . but the engine hasn't fallen apart. which is more than i can say for the ford (timing chain guides ect) off the road. this is my second explorer great car rubbish engine .
