Graphics issues with 2.8

I had my 2011 Explorer updated to 2.8 a week ago, and I'm considering taking it back in. This is one of a few graphics issues I'm having where things don't show up correctly on the screen:

Is this normal for 2.8 or do I need a fresh install?

I see that on mine too. My X came from factory with 2.8 installed from the start.

IIRC, Microsoft only does the sync software. The MyFordTouch, the graphical user interface, is all done by Ford. Sync works great on all Ford vehicles... it's the MFT that people are having problems with.

I'm still no v2.4. If something like that is the only problem I have with v2.8 then I'll be very happy.

Still on 2.4 here don't have that issue. Minor issues with 2.4 not ready to jump on a update as I still see they are working bugs and creating new ones in the process.

I have 2.7 and it looks the same as that. Think it's more lack of real estate than a glitch.

I must be doing something wrong, because in my world, the rear captain chairs where my ten and five year old girls are listening to music, texting and playing games while I chauffeur them around, is first class!

Go to SyncMyRide.com. Create an account if you don't have one. Login. Click on Manage Sync. Click on Account Settings. Voila!

I have v2.8.....just saw the same graphics issue with A/C seat activation icon on top of the temp setting icon.

It's amazing how inconsistent this whole thing is! I'm on v2.8 and unlike Sgt the graphics on my screen look fine.

I'm noticing a couple of things with your display:

- Your fonts are so much thicker than mine
- Your text is all stretched out. It's as if font width were set to 120%

Are you 100% sure you're on 2.8? If you don't mind, post your software versions (sync and all modules) from syncmyride.com. Maybe we can compare to mine and see what are the differences.

SYNCMYRIDE says v2.8 but given the serious knowledge loss at the dealerships you could be right.

I tried several times today to get to my confirmed installations but SYNC site says "This site is experiencing problems, try later"

I comparing, I see you have more modules than I do. I wonder if your tech didn't wipe your MFT before updating it (doing a clean install) and rather just installed on top of what you had (effectively an upgrade) leaving old stuff behind.

I have to run to work, but I'll post some pics tonight. I think I can duplicate the problem you guys (and me too!) are having.

Mine are all exactly the same as yours except this one:
BT4T-14D546-DA instead of BT4T-14D546-GA

Perhaps specific to features? My X is a XLT.
