Greenrip's body work questions.

I live in Rochester, New York, land of the salted streets. My step plates and bumper are rusting as well as the bottom of the truck. How can I get the plastic off of the bumper to paint. What is the best primer to use?

Removing the bumper first will make things easier, and a lot more obvious.

The step pad is held on by a bunch of V shaped tabs. Squirt them with WD-40, and pinch while pulling or prying outward on the pad gets the job done. It is a pretty huge PITA but it gets the job done.
