Grill Guard Compatibility

Hey everyone,

I've got the chance to buy a grill guard off a 99 Sport.

Anyone try to put a newer grill guard on an older ex? I've found posts with people putting old ones, 95-98 onto a newer ex, 99-01. I'm just wondering, how would the newer one look on my 97 with the chrome bumper. Would it be oddly far away from it?

Anyone try this and have pics?

And no, I'm not stupid, I know the frames are the same so they'll bolt up the same way. Just wondering about how it looks.

if it's a frame mount you should be able to just bolt it up.

Here's the interchange on grill guards from truck gear direct. It doesn't show the 99 sport fitting the 97 4 door. But it shows a 99 2 door fitting a 97 4 door. Figure that out, lol. Aren't the 2 doors all sports?
