I was driving off road and all of a sudden when i hit the brake it made a severe grinding like noise and then locked. In order to move again i have to put it on reverse slighty go back and then put it nack on Drive to mive forward again. Then it drives normal untol the next time i hit the brake and it does the same thing again. HELP?

Well, if it doesn't go away.. I'd certainly be pulling that wheel off and inspecting things.

Things can range from:

You got mud in the brake which isn't bad, or you broke something. :D
Brake pads can also become separated from their backing if they're old and do strange things, I'd say something is binding when trying to go forward and relieving itself when reversing.. but that's obvious I guess.

I wouldn't be driving it until you got it sorted.

Either loose bolts or a rock or similar stuck in the caliper.
Or a pad has come loose or maybe a handbrake shoe.

Edit> we call them a handbrake because they're operated by hand here.
The park brake.
