What do i ground the LED tips with?

I'm like about ready to start everything (I got all the parts) but idk what to grind the tips down with.

Any suggestions?

You grind the tips of the leds flat to spread the light out......otherwise it will be concentrated in one area; like a dot

I want to know what I grind it with though...

I used a bench grinder. Either that or a whizz wheel (hand held angle grinder).....just make sure that the tip isn't chamfered, make sure it is ground evenly, and not too close to the actually diode its self

thats what I would do, or buy the flat type.

I'll try a hand-held grinder. I'll let you know how it goes

I've fabricated and wired my own led underbody kit using this method, it works, trust me. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES! The LED body material will fly through the air as a dust....it will get in your eyes and mouth if not careful....

I used my dremel with a grinding stone on it. It worked well and i just eyed it for making it flat.

It worked well :)

Now how do i clear it up a little?

Nail polish?

yes sir, but I didn't do it, and mine came out just as bright.....I mean I'm sure there's a difference, but it's too subtle to notice, atleast to me

I used a belt sander with mine. Worked like a charm. Do go too far down, I've heard that it can damage the light(obviously if you hit the leads it will)
