Hard shift clutch goes to the floor

So I went to take our 94 explorer to work yesterday, and when I went to start it I put the clutch down and it went to the floor with almost no resistance. I had to back the clutch up and try again to get to start. The clutch just doesn't seem to be acting right. Since I almost have to shut the truck off to put it in gear.

Any wetness in the clutch bottom of the bellhousing area?
Is the clutch fluid reservoir full?
