Hard starting.

03 - when started it idles rough an dthe temp gage immediatly goes warm to hot. after a minute or two the temp gage goes to cold/normal. and the car runs like a champ.once car is warm it never does it again.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 2002-2005 section. Did you ever replace the thermostat? Is the coolant level correct?

the thermostat/ housing / and sensor r brand new oem parts.my first thought is the sensor eventhough brand new is bad. but am reluctant to take it back to dealer.

Maybe you could test the resistance of the sensor vith a voltmeter, to see if it's good, and/or replace it, without having to take it to the dealer.
