my truck had an aftermarket cd changer and did a bad job installing it. I tried cutting out the wiring for it figuring it didnt do any thing... well of course i was wrong my HU wont turn on any more. I'm thinking of just cutting off the power connector and just wiring my headunit up to that and then just running new speaker wire and bypass the stock amp. My question is what wires are the power wires in the power connector? which ones should i use to get my stereo working again. I'd like to try and avoid sitting there for a couple hours with the multimete trying to figure it out. :)

sorry, that was going to be my suggestion.....was to probe for the wires you need

I had to do the same thing with mine..

Lots of trial and error, and little bit of luck. I just kept putting different wires a different spots until I started getting some life from the HU, and went from there.

Bah i got it figured out, turns out the fuse for the stereo was blown. the interesting thing is the ACC wire still provided power but the constant wire wasnt getting power. I got all new speaker wire run and the HU hooked back up.
