Has anyone ever replaced the rear window trim?

My 98 and now my 99 both have a vertical trim piece, covered in rubber or plastic, between the moveable window and the "vent" window on the back doors. This vertical trim piece has clearly gotten wet, and is rusting under the rubber. it's bubbly and crunchy, and I'd like to replace all four of them (Two on each vehicle). Is this a major ordeal? Is there a better quality aftermarket component?
