One thing i did for my truck was to change the fuel filter, and even in city driving, my Mileage has changed Alot! I was pushing 10.3 ( freakin crazy ) and now im up to 11.0-12.0, and i know with highway driving its going to be better.
I got 20 mpg (hwy) after using James Henson tunes, I was getting 17, so for me it was just a lucky bonus.![]()
ok... here is an update.
so I started using the fill/drive/record/fill/drive/record method.
I returned my my ecu to stock suing my xcallII, the try to cruse/coast on downhill, trying not to exceed 2000rpm on take offs or other... doing about 40%/60% city/hwy, trying not to go over 70mph...
first run: I got 321.6 miles and refilled 19.310 gallons = 16.654 mpg
second run: I got 299.5 miles and refill 16.581 gallons = 18.03 mpg...
Today I removed the roof-racks (left the screws in to cover the holes), installed an 89 oct tune (performance) and changed my oil to mobil1 syn...
Just waiting to see what results that give me on the next fulling.
I tried to change the atf to synthetic but could not because the truck requires 13quarts (is this correct?) and each quart is about 12 (synt) plus the filter...
