Have you been pulled over for loud music?

One thing to add to 98explorer98's point about being polite. I fully understand it sucks that a cop can be such a jerk, but it may not always be your fault and not directed totally at you. Like in 98's situation, I'm sure the last thing he wanted to do at that time was take care of some griping neighboor and have to drive out somewhere to tell someone to turn their stereo down! Ya know what I mean? He could've been eating his favorite doughnut at the time of the call and didn't get to finish his coffee!! (that wasn't very nice, but I had too!)

i don't know but i can assure you that those of us who actually have the coolest stereos do not bump them inappropriately. there is a responsibility that comes with getting the real stuff.

i was parked waiting for my gf outside a store and the cops pull up next to me with my windows closed i had it on pretty loud and for some reason with the windows closed u can still hear it very clear from across the 4 lane street (no amps no subs) pioneer 240w 4 way speakers so he makes a u turn and pulls up next to me the cop in the passenger seat signald for me to put my window down so i do as i hit the att button on my remote hes like why so loud? i just said sorry and it wont happen again he said simply have a good day and drove off so now every time i see a cop infront or behind me i just hit the att button till about a block away havent had any probs since

Yeah, obviously if you got pulled over it was too loud. I HATE hearing someone's bass, let alone feeling it. I keep my stereo at 5. People outside don't complain and it's loud enough for me.

Well as I have now matured I do not turn my music up at stolights, in traffic or in any public place unless its a commuter lot with a bunch of people doing the same. I have realised how annoying it is when im with my parents and its very quiet and its agravating. I do turn mine up on back roads, highways and empty parkijng lots just to tune the system.



NOTE: I do occasionally go downtown by all the walk-in shops jammin britney spears on fri nights because it is freaking halarious!

just got a loud music ticket

i got my ticket about a week ago driving down a country road (cows and all) when a cop pulls behind me off some other road so i kill my music he followed me for about 3 mile until i got into residental area then desides to pull me over. he siad it was really loud when i had it at 1/4 volume, i was very civil with him still gave me a ticket for 105$ :fire: i have 2 12" Kicker solos on a kicker 1200.1 amp.

I just added my audiobahn and haven't managed to get a ticket yet. But I'm pretty fond of ATT at stoplights, and I don't really bump unless I'm on the highway. I did get pulled over yesterday though for a taillight out. For some reason texas cops are always really polite with me. The one time I got pulled over in cali (on base) it was a different story, and I ended up with a $96 ticket. Here, it's just been warnings. And in san antonio, I don't think you can get pulled over for a loud stereo because there are so damn many of them!

Reminds me of the time, quite a few years ago before I started mindins my manners with my system. I was in line at the Burger King, had my stuff turned down plenty, after all I am in a drive through line.
Any way the a-hole behind me is blastin' I decide I am gonna show him and blast my system. Well I was on a classical kick back then. NOT classic rock, I mean classical music. Yeah, I got some funny looks on that one.

On that note, classic has some tremendous dynamics. Good stuff loud, just be responcible and mind your manners.

Oh don't get me wrong. I am way into rock, however I am into a lot of stuff.

Is it just me, or do Black People love the bass? Everytime i pass a black Person or in a neighborhood, i always get props. its fun to me because my School is directly in the middle of the Ghetto/Projects.

The explorers are sound insulated, at least mine is anyway. I have a 97 bauer with 2 rockford 12's. They are pretty loud in the truck but from outside even with the windows and sunroof open you cant hear much. Either you had the tailgate window open or you were listining to your music way to damn loud. Doesnt help that your 18 the fact that you look young cant be helpfull. If people have been complaining in your town it will also give them more of an incentive to pull you over, so do us all a favor and listing to your music at a normal level.
