Having trouble putting into first and second gear

Have a 91 Ford Explorer XL.
Am having trouble putting into first and second gear.
Takes a lot to get it into those gears.

Have rebuilt transmission and clutch done last June.

Someone please help!!

Story of my life! I have been dealing with that for over a year now! A new clutch job about a year ago, more that 8 slaves later, 3 master cylinder, and a rebuilt tranny job, and still the same problem. My solution... I'm selling this POS!!

Could be worn out synchronizers in the transmission. Find out if they were checked during the rebuild.
