I have a 93 ex and I really like it, but it has had a rough idle for a while. I put in new plug and wires and noticed that the two front plugs on the drivers side were covered in white gunk. The new plugs and wires made it run smooth for a couple of weeks then it started to miss again. It starts easy and still seems to run pretty good. Although the power went down again when it started to miss again.
There is the milky white stuff on the oil cap and I am sure that is needs a head gasket. Although I am not going through any coolant I go through about a quart of oil a month. Oh and it dosent smoke at all.
So my main question is, if it needs a head gasket being a V6 do I have to do both sides? I have only done this in straight 4s before.
Also will I most likely will have to have the head shaved a bit in case it warped? And if it needs shaved will both sides need it so the compression is equal?
This is a great site
Thanks for all your input
