Hi All,
My front head lights turn on when the vehicle is shut off and no key is in ignition, just the front lights and not the rears. This killed the battery. This is a Canadian vehicle and it has the front lights turn on in the daytime automatically...could that be a place to start looking for the problem? When vehicle is running, in park, the lights will be off, then for no reason turn on and in some cases turn off as well.

Any suggestions as to possible solutions would be really be appreciated. For now the negative battery terminal is dis-connected to save the battery.

Thanks

yep.... DRL module if fried. I do believe you can just pull the plug going to it (that what I did on my 96... but 98's could be different).

Budwich is correct if you unplug it the lights will turn off. Remember in Canada you are suppose to have day time running lights. So until you replace it remember to turn your lights on manually.

Ditto... First, try unplugging the DRL module. If my memory serves, I want to say it's on inside of the driver's side frame rail about even with the front of the front wheel... but don't quote me on that one...
