hey jd did you use header bolts or just standard bolts, if standard what did you use? i know the ones on the ex are rusted and pretty sure are gonna be a ***** to get out, so i dont wanna reuse them... what would be your suggestion since you have headers
should be doing this in about 2 weeks, the guy said the headers came with new bolts, gaskest blablabla, getting them ceramic coated for better protection and then wrapping them (have a thread open about wrapping them; on how much is required?)
It depends on how you wrap them.they are not the easiest to wrap either.took me a couple times to get a plan of action then just ended up winging it.people have made a good point about the salt though.makes me nervous every time i go to the beach.i rinse the cap out of the wrap afterwards.that salt will rust every single thing that is not treated but again they where so heal and easy to put on that if and when they rust ill just buy another set.hahah post some pics of that powder coated stuff, know it looks good
im not to concerned with temp, everything on mine seems to run fine now at temp, only thing that gets warm is the alternator, then i guess ill save the money and not wrap them just get them coated from the dealer
Don't be mad you can't keep up;p and no it to keep heat down and in the pipes.for higher compression motors its important to keep heat out and off the motor.i like my pacesetters.only thing is might have to dremal or sand the flang alittle for clearance depending on the type of plug wires you use.
