2007 Mercury Mountaineer
Hey, everyone. I have a 2007 Mercury Mountaineer which has a different headlight assembly than the Explorer. The adjustment screws and fittings are pretty much shot and I need to lower my drivers side headlight. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to rig something to get it lowered? I may pull the assembly and see if I can figure something out.

If all the parts are there and just cracked you could try gorilla glue.

Usually when they're shot there isn't much of a fix. I've seen the complete assembly for in the $100 neighborhood on eBay.
They definitely seem to be pricier than replacement Explorer units.

It is easy to pull the head assembly. Pull the two tabs near the back of the headlight and wiggle it out. There might be a way to accomplish what you need to do. If you can't, used ones are available from salvage yards or off ebay.
