Headlight Blew. WHY IS IT SO DAMN HARD TO JUST REPLACE A BULB?

There's no way in hell you can get that bulb out without removing the battery and even then it's extremely tight. I've been driving around with my high beams on. I refuse to take it to Ford so that they can charge me $200 to change a damn light bulb.

This really sounds like operator error to me. If the OP took his Ex to a dealer to have the bulb replaced and asked real nice, I would put money on a friendly service writer doing it for him (then laughing at him after he left). Open the owner's manual and follow the instructions. It really IS that simple.
