Good qustion, can you replace the 9145 45 watt foglight bulbs with 65 9005 (or 9006 I don't remember)?? the bulb base seems to be the same

I can't necessarily answer your question, but I can tell you that just because the bases are the same, doesn't mean that the bulb will work properly with the housing. I had accidentally bought a set of 9004 bulbs for my stock lamps, and my hi-beam light came on permanently. I found out I was supposed to have bought 9007 bulbs, which I then did, and that solved the problem. The reason for the hi-beam indicator having been on when I had the 9004s installed was due to their current draw being higher than what the 9007s were, therefore fooling the electrical system into thinking I actually had my hi-beams on when I did not. Just a little food for thought.

I replaced my fog light (9145) with a 9005. Other then the fact i had to trim a tab and getting in was a little harder, everything seems to work fine. I am using Eurodezigns 6000k lights in both my head light and fog, and so far i have had no problem. Technically it's only be a day so we will see as time progress. The headlights are DOT approved and same watt as a regular h13 so i am not concerned with anything melting. Since my fog were 45watt and now are 65watt, I am continuously checking to make sure i am not melting anything. So far so good. I am going to try and run the fogs for a while tomorrow to see if anything happens I figured a good hour or so of them running while driving around, would cause melting if it were going to happen. is that correct to assume?

I was looking at those eurodezigns bulbs yesterday. How are they working out for you?

I like them so far. I have the 6000k Super White Ultra. I absolutely love the color. The brightest white that I have had, and I have had Nokya, Silverstars, etc... This is by far the whitest!!! No problems thus far.
If you are looking on ebay, you can get them cheap. I like I got the heads for 8.99 and free shipping and the fogs were 4.99 plus 6.95 for shipping. Cant go wrong for that price.
