Does anyone know if 1998 or newer mountaineer headlights and corner lights will fit a 1997 explorer? Seems like they will fit by just putting the DS headlight on the right and vice versa, but would I be able to mount/bolt it on without having to swap the header panel?

I'm trying to change the look of the explorer by swapping out headlights and corner lights with something different because I'm tired of the same look and I don't like the "eBay" projectors

I think that requires the header panel swap.

You could swap to the Mountaineer grill. That's easy. I did it on my Explorer, with plans to paint some or all of the vertical bars.

Yeah I want the 98+ mountaineer head/corner light combo while retaining my 97 grille

No, that won't work at all.

Well I guess the question now is what do you guys recommend for new head/corner lights that won't yellow out and are not single piece projector housings?
