I'm scratching my head here in trying to figure out why my headlights are stuck on. I have a feeling that it is the auto light dim relay. I have a 2000 explorer 5L with the auto lights in the mirror. I've tried disconnecting the mirror and lights stay on. Any ideas on what this could be. And if it is the relay how do I get at it and change it out. Thanks in advance.

Check the DRL module (Daytime Running Light Module). Mine went out and I could not turn off the headlights till I changed it.

Was your headlights on even with the truck off and key out? I have a feeling it's either the module or the auto light relay in the dash. Also I belive it's more likely the relay because the lights stay on with my park brake on. Which that should turn daytime running lights off.

DRL did that to me also.
