Heater stuck on hot

Explorer 4.0 XLT 1999. Even though my heater dial is set to cold, the air still comes out hot. The aircon works fine but only on re-circulate, when you change to normal aircon, hot air comes out. Is the temp dial electric or manual ? Anyone ever had this problem? thanks ...Phill

thanks, I looked at the thread. I checked the servo and I can hear it moving, but its not turning the blend door, which must mean the door is broken. Is this a dash out job?......Phill
