my 92 explorer heats up when i go up hills at about 25mph. i changed the thermostat and i got a brand new radiator for it and it still does it but not as bad with the new radiator now. i can idle all day if i wanted to and the temp gauge wont budge and i go on the freeway forever and the gauge also wont budge and if im going fast uphill the gauge wont move ether but once i go up hill at around 25mph the guage starts to climb i cant figure out whats going on i have an electric fan on it would that cause a prob at 25 mph??

thanks in advance

...how is your fan clutch???

edit:
...oops, lol...if your fan is not changing speed this could be the problem...even though i don't know much about the e fans, i do know people use switches to control the speed of the fan...;)

the fan is wired to the ignition so it is always on thanks for the reply i forgot to mention that

...but you have no control over it when your vehicle is under a load...with out being able to somehow control the speed your engine will not cool as well...with a normal fan, it is at least controlled by the rpm so it can go faster...;)
do a search for e fan...i have read several threads about them and this is a common problem...
