Hi
This is my first post but I've been reading and Learning. The problem is I Seafoamed my 2001 EX thru the brake booster. Let it sit, reset the computer. Now it starts cutting out at 3200rpm, and it wont kick down to a passing gear when floored. I also cleaned the throttle body and ICV before the Seafoam. I also have the hi rev shifting problem and OD blinking on occasion, but I had this before the Seafoam. If you drive around town you don't notice the problem, but on a freeway entrance ramp you do. If you manually shift it seems to accelerate of. The wife is pissed.
Thanks

is your CEL on?

even if it isn't, you may try pulling codes, to see if the computer has a code stored even though the light is not on.

Well Ford didn't make it Idiot Proof. At least not enough for me. When I cleaned the throttle body I put that spacer that looks like a comb upside down thus not allowing the throttle to open completely. All is not lost! As I said the Ex has the revving problem during shifting from 2nd to 3rd, along with the blinking OD light. I put 8oz of Seafoam Trans cleaner, drove it for a while and no revving or OD lite so far. It's been acting up for more than a year. Time will tell.

Thanks for your responses.

isn't that just an air-silencer? that can be removed, no?

welcome
