Hello Explorer fans..... HELP

Hello Daryl here in Niagara Falls NY..... need help on info about engine swaps.. have 2000 with 4.0 SOHC engine 5 speed.... well engine blew /. seized .. loss of oil pressure on QEW ... not sure what happened
Oil was up to full mark...; temps were good.. truck run'n A1 ...
Cruise'n @ 65/70 MPH.. oil gauge needle started to shake????? then go steady then shake again ? then engine shut down.... fail safe kicked in i'm thinking.
Pulled over check oil level... right up there... ? Restart oil pressure up to normal... & steady... drive .. needle shake'n again... then BANG!... engine seized....

Well anyway have line on 2005 4.0 SOHC outa Ranger with 28,000 miles
complete... ? is can i load this 05 engine in my 2000 Explorer without MAJOR headaches & nightmares & lots of extra money.. anyone does this?

Welcome to this forum! I'm sure that it's possible to do. Make sure that the wiring harness & sensors match.

I can't say for certain, but I would think the swap should be straight forward as long as the '05 Ranger engine uses the same engine mounted sensors as the '00. If you can compare them before purchasing the engine that would be ideal. If all the sensors are the same you should be able to swap in the new motor, and plug everything back in without any trouble.
