I have a 2003 Ford Explorer 4.6L. It has 140,000 miles on it and my wife is about to kill me. It dies mostly at stops. I have replace the IAC valve, the intake and cleaned the throttle body. Each time I get no bit-- from wife for about a week. the car runs fine except for this. Does anybody have any idea what can I do next. This car does this about 1 or 2 times a week..

How about MAF sensor? I assume you changed fuel filter? DPFE sensor or EGR is a place I would check into. Did you buy a Motorcraft IAC or aftermarket from AutoZone, O'Reilly etc. Seems that aftermarket does not always work for our vehicle. Do a search on IAC oem and aftermarket. If I recall, there was a writeup on it.
