Hi, my name is Chris and I just bought a 93 XLT from a guy whose mechanic disconnected practically all wires under the dashboard in order to disconnect the alarm (instead of disconnecting the battery). OD won't kick in, fuel gauge always zero, and rpm counter goes to 3000 as soon as you turn the key (even with the engine off).. I have been looking around, bought the Haynes manual, and got the 36xx-page service manual, but I can't find enough information to fix these. Can anybody help? TIA

lol......always.

The only thing I can tell you is to study that wiring diagram in Haynes. It's all there. Just have to be able to interpret it into something useful. Or you can go to a junkyard and just look at all the wires, find out where they connect, and make your own. Or, as a last resort, find a car electrician, and pay them to fix everything. It'd be expensive, but everything would work.

CDW6212R did a pretty cool conversion, and form what I know, he had a lot of wiring to do. Might want to private message him, and see if he has anything that might be of use.

Good Luck.

Thanks

Thanks! I'll take a closer look at the Haynes manual. I was rather disappointed the service manual said nothing.. I'll take some photos before and after and post them to the forum with my findings as I progress. :)
