Hello everyone! I'm new to this so hopefully someone can help me out. I have a '98 XLT with a 4.0 SOHC that I'm rebuilding and in the timing chain tensioner kit for the left head, there is a plastic shaft about a 1/4" in diameter and about 4" long that is tapered on both ends that I have no idea where it goes. Someone mentioned to me that they thought it went in an oil galley. If so, what does it do? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks. It is a factory Ford OEM kit with this part included...I don't know how to put a picture on here...sorry.
