Hey All,
So the ST didn't have any mechanical issues other than a valve cover gasket leak. I replaced the driver side valve cover gasket and put everything back together. Now the truck idles at 2800-3000 rpm. If I step on the gas, it revs up and down constantly but rpms stay at about 3,000 rpm. Then it starts smoking around lower part of the motor near the firewall. Not sure what the issue is. Everything looks to be put back together correctly, but the fact that it's just now doing this after I took it apart leads me to believe that it's user error. Odd thing is, theres no check enging light so I can't check for codes. Any tips? Thanks!
