'99 Ranger 4x4
Hello, new here and sure am looking for info. I have a '99 Ranger with auto lock hubs. When I turn the knob to 4 high or 4 low, the front wheels will spin or lock in but mostly not. Typically not when I need them to. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. T.Y. Denny:confused:

Your hubs are probably need replacing.

i have a 98 and am looking for some manual locking hubs. I posted a topic a while back and someone told me to check out tellico4x4, and they sold AVM hubs at one time, but they quit selling them. Does anyone know where or who else sells some?
Thanks,
Josh

Hi Josh2500 -- you're 98 Explorer does not have hubs.

The CV axle-shafts are directly splined into the flange that rotates the wheels.

I got a 98 mazda b4000 which is the same as the ranger. Any ideas?

Well it has hubs, just not what he's talking about.
