Help! - 97 vs 94 4.0 swap

Found a deal on an ACDELCO reman. long block Part #1246552. This long block is from a '97. I need to know

SORRY - I HIT ENTER ON ACCIDENT I have a '94 Explorer 4wd with 4.0L (vin x). I found a deal on an ACDELCO long block (#1246552) and I need to know if: 1) Will the intake, fron brackets etc hook up? 2) Will the new long block mate to my existing transmission? I need to know ASAP B4 I commit to the new long block! Thanks - DAN

It will work.

The accessories, intakes, and sensors will come off the 94 engine and go on the 97.
The long block is the same........
Keep the 97 heads.

Dont give up the 94 for a core until you are all done.....

Thanks for the info - I though everything would work but I just got cold feet at the last minute. The old 4.0 got 168K hard miles, I hope the new one lasts the same. Since I haven't done a swap in a while any tips B4 I start?
