Help again please!!!!

well ok i took my truck to get my rest of my crap hook up at my friends house and his bro help us out (like a pro) anyways we got everything hooked up even the power cord to the battery and everything.... The amp will turn on but the subs wont beat at all.....we tried many of things with the wires and HU but no success..... Any idea on what this can be

subs wired wrong, series parallel?
sub speaker wire flaw, not hooked up
rca's flawed, not hooked up
subs bad
amp bad
HU bad

there's some possibilities, start troubleshooting! I'd look into the signal end of things first, easy stuff wire, rca's etc.

well my headunit is working fine and the subs and amp he just took out of his car 2 days ago and they were beating crazy.

yeah that would make me think something simple and annoying like a wiring mess up or something.
