First i own a 94xlt I purchashed a 130 amp alt. to replace my broken stock 90 amp. alt. I have Hella and fog lights and a set of subs. While driving my battery gauge fluckuates* back and forth and my head lights dim with it. It also does this with none of my extras On. I REALLY need help i have tryed everything... replacing alternater from testing results of the Voltage regulater being bad new belt tensoner. I NEED HELP ANY advise would help thanks Guys

Have you checked your connections to the battery to make sure they are good and not corroded?? Also, check the resistance of your cables to make sure there is no internal corrosion. Also might want to make sure you didn't get a bad alternator. That has been know to happen.

When do your flucatrate? Because if you still and you have all the light on the power draw is alot.
I common with early explorer. I have a 130 amp alternator in mine and with the driving lights and lights going and radio going you can watch the lights dimm.
but that what you pay for with 1200 watt of power :D

dude...1200 watts.....thats awesome.

our 91 flickers with every little thing but my 93, i can have subs going, hyperwhites, be at a stop, air on full blast and no flicker. her alt and belt have both been replaced recently, so my guess is the wires....as was already mentioned.
