had no clue where to post this lately my 93 explorer 2 dr 4wd 4.0 has been cutting off while driving then sometimes as i slow down it starts going again others i wait a second and start it again. now its to the point it wont start gets nice spark no fuel pump wont kick on. the pump isnt bad i think considering the other day it started fine then today i messed with the relay and it kicked on for a moment. now again nothing. possible short going to tank? does anyone know the wiring diagram for th fuel pump relay. i had similar problem with my jeep and just jumped directly from the relay to the pump and it worked fine. if neone can help id apreciate it being as this is my only vehichle and i need to get to work.

well, pretty obvious, if you messed with relay and it kicked on... replace the relay and see what happens.

You may try and switch the a/c relay with the fuel pump relay, Maybe someone knows if there the same. Although a relay is maybe 15-20 bucks, so probably just buy one. Was the color of the spark blue. It sounds like a faulty relay

Most of the relays can be swapped, I usually get a handful from Ford vehicles in the salvage yards when picking up parts. Beats the heck out of paying $8 for a new one from the dealer.

The fuel pump relay usually does wind up having problems. Replace it.
