HELP, cleaned TB w/carb clnr

Stupid me, I cleaned the TB with carb cleaner, and I knew you not suppose to.
Does anyone know what detrimental effect it has? :(

Do you have the stock throttle body or a bbk? If it is the bbk nothing should happen, if it is stock you might have some problems because it has that protective coat on it but I would rub the hell outta it and try to make sure all the cleaner is off.
 












It really wont hurt much - the warning label is there more or less to keep uneducated owners from pulling the air intake tube and spraying an entire can down the intake with the engine off. Bad things would happen - ie hydrolocking your engine.


True, your TB and upper intake probably have a teflon coating, but as long as you didnt soak it with an entire can you should be ok. I know napa sells a carb cleaner that is safe for teflon coated throttle bodies - believe it is #8700, but dont quote me on that.
