Hi all,
Been following the directions for replacing my wiper motor per https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192248
Now I've got the new wiper motor wired up and confirmed operational, and I'm trying to get the driver's side linkage back on the crank pin. I'm assuming I have to get it back over the lip on the crank pin, and it's a ***** trying to do it through the access panel. Any suggestions on how to get it back on would be greatly appreciated. I expect the passenger side to go right back on once i get the driver's side properly positioned.
It's dark now, so I can't take pictures, but I can provide pics tomorrow as necessary. Thanks!
EDIT: Thinking the lip might be due to 21 years of wear on the crank pin. Plan to unbolt motor and hit it with a file to see if the linkages slide back on easily.
