Ok, So I went out to my truck last nite...got in and flicked on the lights... but no lights... the dash and parking lights work fine, just no high or low beam headlamps. I can pull back on the wand for the passing-flash and the lights come on... but when I try either low or high beam nothing... I need serious help here... anyone have this problem before or have an educated guess at what is causing my problems. I replaced the main light switch about a year ago and the signal wand was replaced prior to that... I'm guessing about 2 yrs ago... however that was pulled from a yard.

PLEASE HELP

sounds like the relay or probably the fuses check them 1st

Fuses Ck'd

I checked the fuses already. That was the first thing that I did actually. The main 40A under the hood was fine. Is there another fuse that might be causing the problem?

there are fuses under the dash just left of the steering column check there too. these arent labeled except by number so you will need your explorer owners manual

At the shop

Well...i'm sick of not being able to drive at nite. I've taken it to the dealer and they're looking at it. Apparently the service guy told me that there was a muli-switch....and that it sounded like that was toasted.

Thanks

When I had this problem just a few weeks back, I looked at the headlight switch and had a toasted wire. Got another from the 'yard' and it works fine again. I was in the same boat, I needed to drive at night, but no lights.

you guys oughtta always have some fog lights or somethign to use in case your headlights burn out. If my headlights burn out I have plenty of backup :).

I actually had to do that when mine went out on my way to work one morning. I just flipped my 80's on and took off again. I did point them down a bit cause I was starting to get a few people kinda pi$$ed....

Legal Offroad

I think the offroad lights are illegal in NY to use on the highway. Maybe the driving lights would be ok. I should put a set of those in place of my factory fogs. Hey Matt, Any suggestions on which PIAA's would fit down there?

You got the rectangular ones? 1500XT's fit in the stock slot... go through proevious posts, someone else did that conversion not too long ago and I thought it looked pretty sweet.
