Hello all. Reaching out with a possible electric issue on our 2012 Ford Explorer XLT, 4WD. Fairly handy and have done many repairs over the years—but nothing in the realm of electrical troubleshooting. Had a random error message cycle through on the instrument panel, sailing down the highway at 70mph -“service advance track, AWD off, <wrench icon>”. Car went into limp mode. Pulled over. Turned off the vehicle. Waited a few minutes. Restarted with no error messages and drove home beautifully. Immediately replaced the battery, as it was older and showing signs of leaking. Hoping that was the fix. Drove the car a few more times after the new battery was installed. Thought all was well, but alas, the errors returned. Pulled codes in Forscan but don’t even know where to begin. I’m not sure if all of this could be solved by replacing the throttle body? Due to the P2135 code. I’m concerned the issue is wiring related and not the component itself. Any help is greatly appreciated.
