ok so i got all the parts to put on my home made intake tube, well except for the filter adapter, which i haven't gotten yet. but i'm so impatient i just wanted to mess with soemthing...

so anways i was poking around to make sure the parts i got would fit and work out fine...so i took off the stock intake tube. and air box and MAS, and lined my parts up to see if it was going to work, and i figured out it most likely would.

so i put it all back together the way it was.. MINUS ONE bolt that i lost that secures the MAS to the filter box...but since i'm putting on a cone filter soon anways i figured it wouldn't matter..

so the next day i started her up and she was running fine, but ideling really irratically. It would be fine for a while then, and again bad idel......today it was doing the same thing...i put everything back on right, so i am almost postive it can't be that. Also i've recently cleaned the MAS too.

i'm going to check my oil level, sometimes my x will do that if shes just a little low on oil for some reason...but i am lost if its not that.

HELP PLEASE, i hate a bad idel

thanks
ryan

Did you put that one bolt back in?

no, being the butterfingers i am i drop it and couldn't find it...i got all new bolts for the new filter.

you think it could be because of the missing bolt?

Well I'm not familiar with your style MAF but if the one bolt loose could cause the MAF to rotate then it would not affectively meter the incoming air thus causing the engine to run lean.

my MAS has 4 bolts that would hold it up....not it only has the 3 in for now... its pretty secure.. but maybe i'll find a small one to hold it just incase its slightly moving....
