Help me!!! Ignition problems!!! 911 911 911 911 911 911

as far as bypassing the ign and neutral switch, all you need to do is run a wire from unswitched 12v thru a pushbutton (momentary contact) switch, to the small post on the solenoid your using to start it at this time.

the small ones ..... i was sure they installed mine on the big ones and they used ring crimp connectors

i think i might just do this .. but i still would like to know why its not working you know...

i agree ...it would piss me off to if can't figure out what the hells amatter with it .

ok now i have no signal in that starter wire so that is what i think the problem is now.... so now my question is which wire is it on the column mounted ignition switch so i can try a bypass and run a new wire and see if that is it....

ok guys and gals i got pissed and just put a switch in and said screw it... but thanks for all the help

there is a rod that the ignition tumbler pushes on, this rod activates a switch on the lower portion of the steering column, first, use a test light at the small wire going to your solenoid, turn the key and see if the wire has power. If it does have power, its the solenoid, if it DOES NOT have power its the switch that the ignition tumbler operates. There is no need to rig your truck with a manual push button.

hey thanks for the info though and i did check the switch i actually replaced it.. its an electrical short somewhere in the line...
