Help needed asap

:navajo:Hi there everyone. New to all this forums n ineed of help . C my 93 4x4 4.0 explorer seems to wanna die on me when it makes a hard fast stop ! After d stop give it a little gas it feels like its choking. Any help appriciated thanks . By d way dis explorer beens with me for 8 yrs. Been faithful!

I would check your fuel pressure to start with. Could be low and starving for fuel.

Welcome To The Forum, how long has it been since your fuel filter has been changed? I agree with Rick in checking the fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

does it just do it when you stop real fast or does it idle rough all the time

No check engine on n about d fuel filter I its been awhile havent replaced it . Hell now dat I remember d last time they drop d tank to replace d fuel pump my brother mentiond me it had lots of deposits ! But I figured d macanic was smart enough to clean d tank z gess not

There is no CEL for a clogged fuel filter.
