Help needed with rear drum brake conversion

Greetings,
I have an 'ole 92 Explorer that is still running strong. I just replaced my front brake pads and I want to know if anyone has heard of converting the rear brake drums into a brake pad system similar to the front of the Explorer.

Rear drum to disk brake conversion has been done before, you can buy a kit or get everything separate.

It has them for 2wd and 4wd. I thought about it but a few extra feet of stopping distance Vs. Price was not enough to sale me on the upgrade/mod.

That thread is in reference to jeeps mostly. So make sure not to get confused.

I still think your best option is a swap from a second gen. Just make sure, if you have a 4x4, that you get it in the same gear ratio as your current axle. Otherwise if its a 2wd then it doesn't matter.
