A Troop Of Gen 3s
Plenty of battery power but won't crank. Acting as though the PCM is hosed. No temp gauge (engine is hot), no message center (all dashes).

Fuse #41 (HEGO VMV CMS PTEC) keeps blowing.
 






Find the short! Follow the wire behind the fuse box. Wow this has me kinda at a loss for ideas...
 






My limited research says it's a shorted O2 sensor harness. Dig into it tomorrow.
 






OK, disconnected both of the heated (front) sensors and truck started right up. It idles funny, but I'd expect that, with no O2 readings. I don't see any damage to either the sensor pigtails or the engine harness side. I suspect I may have at least temporarily cooked one of the O2 sensors, as I had just finished towing one of our band trailers and it was very hot under the hood (but coolant temp was normal). I'm waiting for it to cool so I can hook the sensors up one at a time and test again.
