Help On Installing Door Speakers.....

I recently decided to upgrade my system on my explorer....its a 1996 it currently had pioneer 6x8. Im going to replace them with 6x8 Infinity Kappa Speakers and going to amp all 4 speakers. Now the think is im stuck on trying to run my own cable from the doors to the amp. Im kinda of a newbie to this kinda stuff. I've only set up amps and installed decks. So if someone can help me that be great. also i have wanted some input on a capacitor if its a good idea installing one since i have H.I.D 8000k and two 12' subs :exp:

Caps pretty much are a waste of money.
i would invest in a bigger battery and/or High amp alt.
I put all new speakers in my explorer but i went with 6" components.
i would pull all the door panels off one by one anbd fish the wires through back to the amp.
The door panels are easy to remove just take your time and dont force things to much.

I've taken the dor panels off just that I have no clue as to running the wire through the door all the way to the amp

is your amp in the back?
just pop off the plastic peice ont he floor where you feet are and run it under there,

Sorry if I'm not being specific what I mean is between the door and the car how did u run ur cables through there......that what confuses me because I wanna hide them

Use the factory boot to run the wires through. Push a fish tape or coat hanger through the boot & pull your speaker wire into the door with it.

Why not just run your speaker wire from the amp to where the radio is and use the existing stock wiring? your probably not pushing enough power to overtax the stock wiring.

I will say that I just ditched my Kappa's in favor of some MBQuart Onyx 5x8 and will never look back!

and dynamat the doors extensively,, you will thank yourself later.

well ima be running 16 gauge speaker wire to a 400 watt amp would it over load the stock wire? and how much did the MBQuart cost u? and how much did u use on dynamatting the doors?

so i tried using fishing the wire with a wire but it kept getting suck at the boot any other suggestions?

i got 16 gauge wire. and going to run a 400 watt amp on the 4 speakers do u think i will toast my stock wires if i run them directly from the harness?

You should be fine. It was 16 gauge that I used from the amp to the factory wires. My amp is a 4 channel Kicker that puts out 400 watts RMS at 4ohm.

With speaker wire you are not running any current to speak of like you would be if you were running voltage/amps through it.

Now of course you wouldn't want to run 1000+ watts RMS through the factory speaker wire.
