well its help with the gasket, should I use the gasket or ditch it and use some ultra black gasket maker..and if I use the gasket, should I hold it on with two little dots..and how would I go about holding on the thermo in the housing..while I put it in?

well I thought this was explorer 911...but I guess not..so much for being an emergency reply..

Hey, not everybody sits around and watches their computer on a beautiful saturday afternoon...the intro to the forum does say "Board members and moderators will try to answer your questions asap, however no time frame is guaranteed." Of course, if you'd like to pay someone for it, we'll be more than happy to accommodate.

Buy a thermostat gasket and use it. Don't use RTV or anything. Make sure all of the old gasket is off before you reinstall the new one. The gasket around the thermostat will hold it in place.
