I am pretty sure there are 8 including the 2 in the oil pan. I might be wrong, at least 6 though

On a 91-94 a4ld there should be 8 bell housing bolts , 4 for the TC , 2 for starter . Make sure you brace your motor when removing the trans or it could tip back and not end well .
There are eight total. 2 on top hard to see even harder to get too. I cut away my carpet to get to the access panel on top and even cut out more panel to get a straighter path for my extensions.
I use a swivel head gear wrench to reach to top 2 bolts. I remove the inner fenderwell (and tires) and reach in from the side of the motor to get those top 2 bolts.
The rest I use a really long extension (3ft or 4ft depending on which bolt I'm reaching) and a wobble head socket (works better than a wobble adapter and a separate socket).
